History

Fred Hope was born in Lancaster, England in 1917. He was a police officer with the London Police Service and also served in the Second World War. Hope came to Canada in 1952 working as an investigator for the Canadian Pacific in Montreal. In 1965 he joined the establishment at Simon Fraser University as the Director of Traffic and Security. He died in Sechelt in 1991.
