Philip Saltzman was an American executive producer and television writer, best known as the executive producer of the 1970s CBS detective series, "Barnaby Jones".
Beginning his television industry career as a writer in the 1950s, Saltzman eventually worked as a scriptwriter for many television series and films including "The Fugitive", "The Third Man", "The Rifleman", "Perry Mason", "Felony Squad" and "The Swiss Conspiracy". He was a producer for the television series "The F.B.I." and "Columbo".
