History

Norm Sibum is a poet who emigrated to Canada from the U.S.A. in the Vietnam war era. Born in Oberammergau in 1947, he grew up in Germany, Alaska, Utah and Washington. He has published several volumes of poetry in Canada, and two others, The November Propertius and In Labans Field, in England (Carcanet Press, Manchester). His 2002 collection, Girls and Handsome Dogs won the Quebec Writers Federation A. M. Klein Prize. Vancouver-based for many years, Sibum was living in Montreal as of 2009.
